    U型鋼支架是一種橫截面形狀像英文字母“U”的鋼鐵。各國生產(chǎn)的U型鋼的斷面形狀、幾何參數以及材質(zhì)等有所不同，目前中國生產(chǎn)的U型鋼型號主要有U18、U25、U29、U36這四種。其中U18和U25屬腰定位；U29、U36屬耳定位。U18由于承載能力很低，現很少生產(chǎn)。

 

    U型鋼支架具有高初撐力、支護強度大、安裝簡(jiǎn)易、不易變形等優(yōu)點(diǎn)，因此常用于制造巷道可縮性金屬支架，作礦井巷道、礦井巷道二次支護、以及穿山隧道的支撐支護等用途。

    結構組成

 

    柱腿有3種形式，一種是上部為圓弧形，下部為直線(xiàn)段；第二種是全部為曲線(xiàn)形，且只有一個(gè)曲率半徑；第三種是全部為曲線(xiàn)形，但有兩個(gè)曲率半徑。柱腿下面焊有底座，底座的大小視底板軟硬而定。

 

    頂梁為圓弧拱形，其數量視巷道斷面大小、支架受力、運輸條件的不同有1節和多節之分。

 

    連接件是支架節與節間的卡緊裝置，可以起節間的連接作用，還可以將連接的兩節型鋼接頭部分壓緊，提供預緊力，使U型鋼之間具有摩擦力，從而保證拱形支架具有一定的工作阻力和一定的可縮量。

 

    架間拉桿的作用是增強支架整體相對穩定性，將支架從縱向聯(lián)接起來(lái)，形成整體。
